Going Green Homeschool Day

10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Mini River Clean-Up to follow at 12:30 p.m. Education Center Ages 3 and over: $5 per person, Children 2 and under are Free Calling all Homeschoolers! Join us for this environmental-themed tour! Learn about composting (worm and traditional) and how to Reduce, Re-use, and Recycle in your daily life. See solar ovens in action and learn how to make and use your own! Children will leave with a greater appreciation for conservation methods and sustainable living. The day will conclude with a family-friendly, mini river clean up of the Potomac River. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the view of Mount Vernon! Drinks and snacks will be for sale at the Visitor Center. Reserve your space today and register online at www.accokeek.org/events.
