Great Backyard Bird Count

Sunday February 14
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Bring your "love bird" for a Valentines Day stroll through Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary and participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count. The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual four-day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continent and in Hawaii. Anyone can participate, from beginning bird watchers to experts. When our count is over we will enter the data into a national data base which fellow participants can follow when they return home.
