CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER - Will be re-scheduled! The Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail is the first national water trail, and the Northern Neck is part of it. Find out more about paddling, fishing, sightseeing, and other aspects of the trail, and local sites that Captain Smith documented on his explorations. Danette Poole is the Environmental Program Planner and liaison between Virginia and the National Park Service for the trail, and is currently developing a water trail to feature John Smith's Adventures on the Rappahannock River.
