Tide of Tolerance History Tour

The St. Clement's Island - Potomac River Museum will present the Tide of Tolerance History Tour bringing to life the history of St. Clement's Island. The Lord Proprietor's Players will be featured in period costume representing key figures in the Island's history from the first colonists who arrived in 1634 to the lighthouse keepers of 1800s. Water taxi transportation is available from the St. Clement's Island - Potomac River Museum pier with departures at 12:30 and every half hour through 3 p.m. $5 per adult, $3 per child and includes admission to the museum. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to also enjoy the serenity and natural beauty of the Island and the Potomac River. Comfortable walking shoes, bottled water, sunscreen and bug spray should also be considerations.
