“Osprey: Status and Trends in the Chesapeake Bay"

Saturday March 20
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Join biologist Steve Cardano for a discussion of the life history and ecology of the Osprey. Steve has researched Osprey in the Chesapeake Bay for almost 30 years, and has collected information on nest site selection, mating behaviors, egg laying, rearing, feeding and fledging success. He will discuss results of band recoveries and look at longevity of the species. Special emphasis will be on the placement of artificial platforms. Learn how you can contribute to Osprey nesting success. Lecture is free, but registration is a must.
