The Virginia Living Museum offers free sky observing, beginning at sunset on the second Saturday of every month. (Star gazing is weather dependent.) Also part of the evening are these planetarium programs: "Microcosm" at 5:30 p.m. and "Virginia Skies" at 7:30. And, experience a sensory extravaganza as the planetarium's state-of-the-art LED laser shows provide music to both the eyes and ears. This month: "Laser Magic" at 6:30, "Laser Spirit" at 8:30, "Laser Zeppelin" at 10 and "Dark Side of the Moon" at 11:30. $6 for each planetarium show, or $10 for two. The Wild Side Cafe is open 6 to 9 p.m.
