For the third year, the Virginia Living Museum will celebrate the long and healthy life of its wild turkeys during the annual Turkey Pardoning. Newport News Mayor McKinley Price will pardon the turkeys on the Virginia Living Museum’s outdoor trail beside the Turkey/Deer Habitat. Included in museum admission; museum open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Also, Nov. 1-21 the museum is collecting non-perishable food items for the Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula. Visitors who bring in a non-perishable item to the VLM lobby and deposit it in the collection bins will receive a voucher for a "Free Fountain Drink with purchase" at the museum's Wild Side Cafe.
