Experience life as a waterman and work in an oyster packing house, use oyster tongs, work in the shucking room, sing work songs and MORE! Learn about oyster biology and how to help restore Crassostrea virginica from the Southern Maryland Oyster Cultivation Society. FREE.

Excursions with Captain Rachel aboard Roughwater, a Chesapeake workboat, showing the skills and tools used by working watermen will leave the oyster house at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - $15 per person. Limited to six passengers per outing; call 410-326-2042 ext. 41 for reservations.
