| Brief Description: | Located on the banks of the historic Susquehanna Flats, the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum houses one of the finest collections of working and decorative Chesapeake Bay decoys. The museum preserves the historical and cultural legacy of waterfowling and decoy making on the Chesapeake Bay.
The museum showcases more than 2,000 objects—including 1,200 decoys and decorative carvings dating from 1930 to 1990, as well as boats, guns, textiles, books, documents, and photographs. The collection represents the work of more than 300 regional decoy makers. |

| Location / Directions: | The museum is located on the banks of the historic Susquehanna Flats in Havre de Grace, Md.
From north or south on I-95: Exit I-95 at exit 89 East to Havre de Grace. Proceed 4.6 miles, and turn right onto Juniata Street. Drive 1 mile to Revolution Street, and turn left. At Union Avenue, turn right. Proceed to the end of Union Avenue, and turn left onto Commerce Street. Follow signs to the museum. From Eastern Shore points: Take MD Route 213 North to Route 40 East. Cross Hatem Bridge, and follow Route 40 to Revolution Street. Turn left onto Revolution Street. At Union Avenue, turn right. Proceed to the end of Union Avenue, and turn left onto Commerce Street. Follow signs to the museum. From Pennsylvania: Take PA Route 272/MD Route 222 to Perryville. Cross Hatem Bridge, and follow MD Route 40 to Revolution Street. Turn left onto Revolution Street. At Union Avenue, turn right. Proceed to the end of Union Avenue, and turn left onto Commerce Street. Follow signs to the museum. |

| Activities: | The museum offers four permanent exhibits:
The museum also offers carving demonstrations on weekends, plus carving classes on Monday mornings. Contact the museum prior to attending your first class; each class costs $25. The museum also maintains a library full of resources on decoy carving, decoy carvers, decoy collecting, hunting, waterfowling, wetlands ecology, guns, bird identification, and bird biology. Located on the museum’s second floor, the library holds more than 600 volumes and a small assortment of archival material.
