Nanticoke River Water Trail Phase I Development

This project will produce a detailed water trail map and guide, including information on existing public access, GPS points, river features, area services and watershed characteristics. Additionally, Gateways Network signs/National Trail markers will be installed that direct visitors to and identify existing water trail access areas. The Nanticoke River Water Trail, an important component of the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail in Delaware, will promote safe recreational use of the Nanticoke River and help build support for the stewardship of area natural and cultural resources.
