Brief Description: The Potomac Gateway Welcome Center is located on U.S. Highway 301 in King George County, Virginia, at the foot of the Potomac River Bridge. For travelers crossing the Potomac into Virginia, the Welcome Center is the first convenient information source about Chesapeake Bay Gateways and the multitude of natural, scenic, historic and recreational resources in Virginia's Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula region. Visit the Center to find out about the places to visit in this region stretching from the Potomac to the York River, and from Fredericksburg to the Bay. The Center is also immediately adjacent to a King George County park providing shoreline and boat access to the Potomac.
Location / Directions:

From Richmond: From I 95 take exit to Rt. 207, Fort A.P. Hill. Head northeast until road becomes Rt. 301. Past the turn off for the town of Dalgren, the welcome center is on the left, just before the bridge which crosses the Potomac into Maryland.

From Maryland and the north: Follow US route 301south across the Harry Nice Bridge over the Potomac River. The welcome center is located on the right, just after the bridge.
