Give the Chesapeake a Chance ![]() This project will introduce a new distance learning program targeting elementary, middle, and high school students with education about ecology and conservation in the Chesapeake Bay. The course will be available using Internet Video Conferencing (IVC) technology. The project also includes semi-annual cleanups on the Museum’s 5.2 mile Noland Trail and the 167-acre Lake Maury. The lake receives the run-off from over 10,000 acres of urban area, eventually draining into the James River and then the Chesapeake Bay. Amount Funded: $15,000.00Start Date: 08/01/2008 |
