Description:Cove PointLocated four miles north of the entrance to the Patuxent River. Automated 1986. Transferred to Calvert Marine Museum, but light is still active and the optic and radio building are owned by US Coast Guard. Site is open to the public through tours originating at the museum. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Type of Structure:Brick masonry tower covered with stucco and painted white with black lantern. 51 feet tall.
Purpose:Marks Cove Point, north of the entrance to Patuxent river
