Gateways grants assist designated Chesapeake Bay Gateways in implementing high-quality interpretation, access, or conservation and restoration projects that advance Network goals. Gateways grants are available for projects at all designated Gateways participating in the Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network. The critical purpose of Gateways grants is to help your site become a more effective Gateway to the Chesapeake.

Submission Requirements:

A complete proposal includes the following elements:

• Cover Letter (required)
• Gateways Grant Application Form -- Narrative (required)
• Proposal Budget (see sample) (required)
• Scope of Work - Task & Schedule List (see sample) (required)
• Scope of Work – Project Deliverables (see sample) (required)
• Site map showing project area (required)
• Other maps, photographs, drawings or graphic information (optional)
• Supporting Information (highly recommended)
• Completed Environmental & Cultural Analysis Checklist (required)
• Copy of cover letter to State Historic Preservation Officer (required)
• Intergovernmental Review (required, if applicable)
