Enhancing Public Understanding of Environmentally Friendly Building Components

block Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center

This project will educate visitors on ways to reduce the use of natural resources through green home building and conservation landscaping. Visitors will see functioning low impact designs, environmentally friendly products and systems available to the private citizens/homeowners. In addition to developing on-site interpretive signage, the project will also train the Center's staff and docents, develop a "teaching trunk" for use in presentations, and create a 20-page "take-home" booklet describing green products, systems and low impact design techniques.

Amount Funded: $25,068.00

Start Date: 10/03/2007
