Children's Interactive Exhibits
Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
The Children’s Interactive Exhibits project (an interpretation project) will involve researching, developing, evaluating, modifying, and installing exhibits specifically geared for the Museum’s youngest visitors (ages 1-12). The exhibits will be designed to rouse the imagination of children and to provide them with hands-on opportunities for exploring the Chesapeake Bay’s environment and culture. They will also be designed to promote exchange learning among children and adults. Museum staff will evaluate how well the exhibits attract and hold the interest of children and how effective the exhibits are at conveying the Museum’s interpretive messages. The exhibits, which will also be of interest to adults who enjoy kinetic learning, will allow children to learn through play and experience.
