Introducing Bay Stories and Accessing Gateways through the Baltimore Visitor Center

block Baltimore Visitor Center

This project fulfills a major role for this Gateway Regional Information Center by providing new Chesapeake Bay Gateway orientation, interpretation and enhanced access to over 8 million yearly visiting tourist and residents of the inner harbor of Baltimore. Building upon the success of the CBGN-assisted "Baltimore Bay Trails," the project links eleven Gateways a series of interpretive wayside displays along with a new map and guide to the Baltimore Gateways. The project coordinates with new interpretive water taxi landing signage along the Inner Harbor Waterfront Promenade. The eleven Baltimore Gateways are the densest cluster of Gateways in the Network, and this project will provide an unparalleled opportunity to learn about and experience these sites by foot, bicycle, and water taxi.
