Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge Interpretive Trail

block Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge

The National Aquarium in Baltimore, in partnership with the Friends of Eastern Neck and the Fish and Wildlife Service, will create an interpretive nature trail and bayscape demonstration planting area at Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge. The new trail will be located adjacent to the refuge's new visitor center on the western edge of the island. Because of the high traffic to the visitor center, the area is ideal for visitor orientation, bay access, wildlife observation and interpretation. The project will connect historic sites, scenic views, untouched habitats, a bayscaped demonstration area and a forest restoration site.

Amount Funded: $53,412.00

Start Date: 09/15/2005
