Juniata River Water Trail Orientation, Interpretation and Mapping

block Juniata River Water Trail

The Juniata River winds its way through central Pennsylvania before emptying above Harrisburg into the Susquehanna, the river that delivers more fresh water into the Chesapeake Bay than any other. New printed and web-based maps will make it easier for paddlers to discover and explore the Juniata River Water Trail. Orientation and safety signage will be installed along the trail route, as will new interpretive displays exploring the natural ties that bind this stretch of the broader Chesapeake watershed with the Bay itself.

Amount Funded: $74,300.00

Start Date: 09/15/2005
