Interpretive Signs and Brochures for Mount Calvert

block Patuxent River Park Jug Bay Natural Area

This project will fill a gap in the public interpretation of archeological and historical resources at Mount Calvert, a section of the Jug Bay Natural Area. This will be accomplished by developing ten interpretive waysides, an interpretive brochure, and including Mount Calvert on the M-NCPPC web site. The cultural resources at Mount Calvert reflect the diversity and historic past of the Chesapeake Bay region and important themes touch on: African Americans and the Bay, Architecture and Historic Districts, Colonial Settlement, Military and Naval History, and Native Americans.

Amount Funded: $17,550.00

Start Date: 09/04/2004
