"What Is A Decoy?" Gallery Enhancement

block Havre de Grace Decoy Museum

This project will produce a complete enhancement of the interpretive experience for visitors to the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum. The "What is a Decoy?" exhibition gallery will be transformed into a new and enticing space, connecting the museum's theme of "working decoys" and regional carvers, to the Bay-wide themes. Nine interconnected exhibit story-lines, will use maps, photographs, historic prints, artifacts and low tech-interactive components to engage all age groups. The resulting gallery will be a well planned arrangement of display units and graphics that helpf visitors relate the economic and cultural values of decoy carving to the Bay's ecological importance to waterfowl and other species.

Amount Funded: $80,000.00

Start Date: 08/15/2003
