Pride of Baltimore II
Photo Tour
Pride of Baltimore II is one of only two mobile Chesapeake Bay Gateways. It is a sailing reproduction of an 1812-era privateer or "Baltimore Clipper," the kind of vessel that precipitated the Chesapeake Campaign during the War of 1812. The Pride of Baltimore II was commissioned in 1988 as a goodwill ambassador for Baltimore and Maryland.

Since her commissioning, Pride II has sailed over 200,000 nautical miles, and has visited over 200 ports in 37 countries in North, South, and Central America, Europe, and the Far East. In 1998 she embarked on her first voyage to Asia, making port calls in China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. With her sharply raked masts, her abundance of sail, and her sleek profile, Pride of Baltimore II captures the imagination and conveys the history of the Chesapeake Bay to people around the region, the nation and the world.

Hours: Dates and hours of port calls, open houses, school tours, charters, and corporate receptions vary from port to port. For a detailed list of events, call or email the Pride, Inc. office, or visit the Pride's website for availability.
Fees: All events and access to the ship are free to the public. In certain cases, the host organization may charge an admission fee to the site when the ship is moored. The ship is available for charter for sails and dockside receptions by corporate and governmental organizations. Call the Pride, Inc. office for rates and availability.
