The North Branch of the Susquehanna River flows from New York through Pennsylvania to Sunbury where it joins the West Branch and forms the river's main stem - the largest tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. The Susquehanna River Water Trail - North Branch, now under development, will form a boating and paddling route along the Pennsylvania section of the North Branch.
The water trail is being completed in three sections, an upper segment in the Endless Mountains Region, a middle in the Wyoming Valley and a lower. A water trail map and guide will link these sections and help boaters, canoeists, and kayakers experience this great resource first hand while floating through the river's historic small towns and scenic rural areas.
