Pemberton Historical Park - Salisbury, MD
Pemberton Historical Park
Photo Tour
Pemberton Historical Park sits along the Wicomico River, a Bay tributary, near Salisbury, MD. The 264-acre park is the site of Pemberton Hall plantation and Pemberton Hall, a restored 1741 plantation home. The park includes many of the original plantation grounds and sites of slave quarters, along with open fields, pine and hardwood forests, tidal streams and wetlands, all fronting on the Wicomico. Also located in the park is the Wicomico Heritage Center and Museum, designed as the contact building for the park and replicating an 18th century tobacco barn. Almost five miles of walking trails allow visitors to explore both nature and history at this site on the Eastern Shore.
Hours: The park is open daily from 8:00 am to dusk. Pemberton Hall is open for tours on Sundays from 2-4 pm from May 1 - October 1 and by appointment.
Fees: There is no entrance fee.
