| Description: |  Located at the mouth of the Elk River at the tip of Elk Neck. Conical, 38-foot white brick tower atop timber/stone foundation. The black lantern received a 4th order Fresnel lens in 1855 (later stolen). Automated 1947; deactivated in 2000. Fog bell. Located in Elk Neck State Park. Owned by the USCG; leased and maintained by Friends of Turkey Point. Eligible for listing on National Register of Historic Places. |
