Trap Pond State Park
Activities: Take advantage of the 90 acre pond with rentals of rowboats, pedal boats, sailboats, canoes or kayaks in the summer season and anglers can try their hand at fishing for the next big catch. Guided pontoon boat tours are available during the summer on weekends and holidays, as well as various specialized programming throughout the season. Enjoy a game of disc golf, while picnicking or enjoy a hike on one of the available nature trails. The Baldcypress Nature Center features a variety of displays and programs that will enhance any visit to the park. Camping is available from March 1st to Nov 30th. There is family style camping as well as cabins and yurts available for reservation. Picnic areas overlook the pond and three pavilions may be reserved for group events. Volleyball courts and horseshoe pits encourage active competition among friends, and children will enjoy the new playground complex.

Facilities:

Trap Pond State Park is located five miles east of Laurel , one mile off Delaware Route 24 on Trap Pond Road .

There are 142 Campsites in the park, 130 of those are equipped with water and electric hookups. There are also 2 yurts available as well as 8 three season cabins. A camp store is available for camping and fishing supplies, clothing and souvenirs, mini-general store with groceries, ice cream, personal items, snacks and more.

Three pavilions may be reserved for group events. Along with several picnic area overlooking the water. A boat launch can accommodate small motor boats. Restrooms and shower facilities available.

Baldcypress Nature Center features a variety of displays and programs available for visitors, open year round.
