Activities:

A general tour of the Aquarium takes approximately 2 1/2 hours.

The National Aquarium in Baltimore's highly-anticipated new exhibit, Animal Planet Australia: Wild Extremes, will open December 16, 2005. The exhibit depicts a typical river gorge in Australia's Northern Territory, and when fully inhabited in December, it will be home to 1,800 individual native animals representing 120 species, including freshwater crocodiles, turtles, fishes, and free-flying birds and flying foxes.

Facilities: The Aquarium is home to approximately 10,500 specimens and more than 560 species of animals. Experience them through a variety of exciting and educational exhibits, ranging from the Amazon River Forest to the Atlantic Coral Reef.
Accessibility: A variety of services are available for individuals with disabilities. Audio wireless tours, Assisted listening devices, Braille tours, wheelchairs and numerous special services and resources can be arranged. More Information is posted on the Aquarium website.
